I provide comprehensive parent training/coaching for families with a child exhibiting maladaptive behaviors. Whether your child has special needs or is typical, I can provide great insight into what is maintaining problem behaviors. I will offer excellent strategies in how to reduce problem behaviors and increase more appropriate ones. As parents are coached through the process of working through behaviors, they will feel confident and equipped to work through challenging behaviors, how to set limits and reinforce appropriate behaviors.
I provide shadows for one on one support in the classroom setting. Shadows support a child in transitioning, following directions, completing academic tasks, socializing appropriately, using language to communicate and behavior reduction. This is an excellent service for a child that is disruptive, aggressive, is refusing to do certain tasks, isolates socially, or has difficulty playing appropriately with other children. I provide all the training for the shadow, as well as programming for specific goals. Training and support is on-going between me and the shadow.
I obtained my masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Counseling from California State University, Los Angeles. I am a board certified behavior analyst.
